The Libra New Moon, a week of heightened expectation, and the invitation to move from fear into conscious creation.
Soul Tribe, there has been a lot to take in this week.
Between the October alignments, conversations around prophecy, and the pressures many are navigating in their own lives, it can feel as though everything is asking for our attention at once.
Tomorrow, Saturday 10 October, brings what many are calling the 10/10/10 portal: the tenth day of the tenth month, in a year whose digits add to ten.
2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10.
On the same day comes the Libra New Moon. For me, this offers a beautiful moment to pause and ask: What am I still carrying that no longer belongs in the life I am building?
The symbolism of three tens
In numerology, ten can be read as a cycle reaching completion and opening into a beginning. The one represents initiative, identity and the courage to take a first step. The zero can symbolise potential, the circle, and the spaciousness from which something new emerges.
Together, they offer an image of returning to the beginning with greater awareness.
Repeated three times, that symbolism becomes a useful focus for reflection: completing, making space, and beginning again.
There is an important detail here. This pattern is sometimes described as a once-in-a-lifetime event, but the same calculation applies to 2017 and 2035. Its meaning does not depend on it never happening again, but if we think back to what happened in 2017, it feels pretty significant.
We will never meet this particular moment as these particular versions of ourselves again.
Think of everything you have lived through. The endings. The relationships. The disappointments that changed your direction. The courage it took to keep going when the next step was unclear.
What wisdom are you taking forward? And what have you finished learning through repetition? Because the New Earth happens through us. We’re not waiting for anyone to give it to us.
I approach a portal as a sacred marker: an opportunity to bring attention and intention to a threshold. The date offers the symbolism; we bring the choices.
A New Moon that asks for honest balance
The New Moon falls on Saturday 10 October at 5:50 p.m. South African time. In tropical astrology, it is in Libra, a sign associated with relationship, reciprocity, fairness, justice and balance.
Balance can require an uncomfortable conversation. It can mean admitting that an arrangement has become one-sided, or that keeping everyone happy has come at too high a personal cost.
Venus, Libra’s ruling planet, began its retrograde in Scorpio on 3 October. Astrologically, this invites reflection on love, trust, values and what we invest our energy in. Venus also squares Mars around this New Moon, bringing the symbolism of desire and relationship into tension.
Where are you giving from love, and where are you giving from fear? What matters enough to you to deserve time, care and commitment?
These are questions to sit with gently. You do not need to resolve your whole life by Saturday.
The distinctive astrology of 10 October
A Libra New Moon with its ruler retrograde. The Sun and Moon meet at approximately 17°21′ Libra, while Venus, which rules this lunation, is retrograde in Scorpio. Symbolically, this new beginning carries a review within it: revisiting trust, attachment and values before deciding what to build next.
Venus square Mars on the same day. Retrograde Venus in Scorpio squares Mars in Leo. This is the strongest immediate relationship theme around the lunation: depth and vulnerability meeting pride, desire and the need to be seen. It invites us to notice where intensity takes the place of intimacy, or where the need for recognition makes listening difficult. Honest communication and creative expression offer constructive outlets.
An approaching sextile to Jupiter in Leo. The Sun and Moon are about four degrees from an exact sextile to Jupiter. This provides a more generous counterpoint in the astrological reading—courage, warmth and possibility. The Sun–Jupiter sextile perfects later in the week; it is not exact on the portal.
A wider, separating opposition to Saturn in Aries. The lunation is about six and a half degrees from opposing Saturn. This secondary influence echoes the Sun–Saturn opposition of 4 October. Symbolically, it asks whether our intentions have the boundaries, patience and structure to endure.
What distinguishes this day is the combination. I read it as an invitation to begin with greater honesty: revisit what matters, make room for difficult feelings, and give the next chapter a foundation you can sustain.
The pressure of the past week
The Mars-in-Leo opposition to Pluto-in-Aquarius was exact on 3 October. It belongs to the backdrop of this past week rather than being a new alignment arriving on the portal itself.
Symbolically, it brings us to questions of power, control, courage and the shadow. We might recognise those themes in collective conversations, and also in the moments when we feel a need to defend ourselves, force an outcome, or win an argument.
Before reacting, it can help to ask: What is this touching in me? Is an old fear speaking? What response would honour both my truth and my responsibility?
There is room to feel anger or grief without allowing either to make every decision. Sometimes the most useful response is to step away from the noise long enough to hear yourself again.
Prophecy, expectation and discernment
In my recent video about Chris Bledsoe’s prophecy and the attention around 7 October, I explored the questions and spiritual significance people have attached to that date. However, Chris never got a date front “the lady”. That date was calculated by astronomers and astrologers. She mentioned a new knowledge will come to earth.. a new understanding of the truth. And sometimes, that doesn’t arrive with a bang, but rather a quiet knowing inside. Where the masses are starting to sense something is amiss. So do not discard that day. We can feel things are shifting, and that the planet will never go back to how things used to be. And that’s a good thing.
The conversations around calendars and time in my recent update raise a related question: How much of our attention lives in anticipation of something happening outside us?
It is understandable to long for revelation, relief or a turning point. Meanwhile, life continues to ask us to participate—to care for our bodies, speak honestly, support one another, make decisions and to do the inner work.

Surrender without abandoning yourself
This was also a thread in my recent Conscious Conversation with Farrah Weir.
We spoke about the pressures around home, finances, family and belonging, and how deeply they can touch old fears. We explored surrender, faith and Christ consciousness, while making space for emotions to be felt fully.
Surrender can mean releasing the demand to know every detail before taking the next step. It can coexist with practical action, clear boundaries and asking for help.
For those who identify as Wayshowers or Starseeds, this is a reminder to give yourself the care you offer others. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to be supported.

A simple practice for Saturday
Set aside ten quiet minutes. You might light a candle, sit outside, or simply place your feet on the ground.
- Name what you are completing. Choose one pattern or commitment you are ready to change.
- Recognise what it has held for you. Perhaps it once offered protection, familiarity or belonging.
- Write your new direction. “Today, I am ready to release ______ and begin ______.”
- Choose one practical step. Make the call, set the boundary, ask for support, or give yourself the rest you have postponed.
- Leave space to listen. You do not need to manufacture an extraordinary experience.
A quiet decision can have lasting consequences. Let your intention become something you can care for through repeated action.
What we carry forward
For me, the invitation of this 10/10/10 threshold is to become more conscious of what we keep feeding with our attention.
We can care about the world and still make room for beauty. We can face difficult truths while cultivating steadiness. We can begin again with the wisdom we have earned.
The New Earth we speak about takes shape through the relationships, communities and daily choices we help create.
What are you ready to complete—and what are you ready to begin?
With love,
Anina ✨
