For a very long time, Western science approached consciousness as something produced by the brain.
Matter came first. Consciousness appeared later.
It was a neat hierarchy, and for a while it gave us a workable model of reality. But the deeper we have ventured into quantum physics, neuroscience and the nature of perception, the less complete that model has begun to feel.
What if consciousness is not simply something happening inside us?
What if it belongs to the architecture of reality itself?
This is an inquiry I keep returning to, because it sits at the meeting point between so many things I have explored over the years: ancient wisdom, energy, consciousness, human potential and, increasingly, science.
When reality becomes less solid
Quantum physics has forced us to reconsider some very basic assumptions about the physical world.
At the quantum level, the familiar solidity of everyday life gives way to probability, relationship and fields. Particles can behave in ways that seem deeply counterintuitive when viewed through the lens of classical physics. Entangled systems reveal correlations across distance. Measurement becomes part of the description of what occurs.
None of this proves that human thought simply creates physical reality on demand — an idea that is often attributed far too casually to quantum mechanics.
But it does invite a more interesting question.
Is the observer as separate from the observed as we once assumed?
Physicist John Wheeler famously explored the idea of a “participatory universe,” while David Bohm proposed his implicate order: a deeper, enfolded level of reality from which the world we experience emerges.
These were serious attempts to grapple with a universe that was proving considerably stranger than the mechanical picture inherited from previous centuries.
And consciousness remains one of its great unresolved mysteries.
The mystery inside us
Neuroscience has given us extraordinary insight into the relationship between the brain and conscious experience. We know that perception can be altered. Neural pathways can change. The brain predicts, filters and interprets enormous amounts of information before we ever experience what we call “reality.”
Yet mapping the neural correlates of consciousness is not the same thing as explaining why subjective experience exists at all.
Why should electrical and chemical activity produce the experience of seeing blue?
Or loving someone?
Or knowing that you exist?
This is sometimes called the “hard problem” of consciousness, and despite enormous advances in neuroscience, it remains unresolved.
That gap fascinates me.
Not because we need to fill every unknown with a spiritual explanation, but because the unknown itself deserves our attention.
Perhaps the old boundaries are dissolving
Ancient traditions did not generally begin with the assumption that consciousness was confined to the skull.
Across very different cultures, we find descriptions of an interconnected reality in which mind, matter, life and cosmos participate in something larger.
We should be careful about claiming that ancient mystics somehow “knew quantum physics.” They didn’t need to.
Their language and methods were different.
Yet it is fascinating that, from entirely different starting points, both contemplative traditions and some areas of modern science have challenged the idea of a universe made only of separate, independent things.
Perhaps this is where the conversation becomes most valuable.
Not in trying to make spirituality scientific.
Not in trying to make science spiritual.
But in allowing both to take us to the edge of what we currently understand.
And what happens when we change?
There is another dimension to quantum consciousness that interests me deeply.
Even before we resolve the ultimate nature of consciousness, we already know that our inner world affects the reality we experience.
Attention changes what we notice.
Beliefs influence perception and behaviour.
Repeated experience can reshape neural pathways.
Our nervous system continually interprets the environment, and the brain is not merely recording an objective world like a camera. It is actively constructing our experience from sensory information, memory, expectation and prediction.
This gives us far more agency than the old deterministic model suggested.
Perhaps the most useful question is therefore not:
“Can my thoughts magically create anything I want?”
But rather:
“How much of the reality I experience is being shaped by the consciousness through which I meet it?”
That is a very different conversation.
And, to me, a far more empowering one.
Consciousness may be the next frontier

I don’t think we need to rush toward definitive answers.
There is something important happening simply in our willingness to ask better questions.
Because perhaps the great frontier ahead of humanity is not somewhere beyond the stars.
Perhaps it is consciousness itself.

There are moments when multiple celestial events seem to converge into a single extraordinary window.
12 August 2026 feels like one of those moments.
We arrive at a total solar eclipse and New Moon in Leo, immediately following the 8/8 Lion’s Gate — alongside a remarkable six-planet alignment and an exceptional meteor shower.
And woven into this celestial picture is another fascinating symbolism: the conjunction of the asteroids Isis and Osiris, archetypes associated with the feminine and masculine, death and rebirth, fragmentation and reunification.
Any one of these themes would be interesting on its own.
Together, they create a powerful backdrop for what many of us are already experiencing:
An ending of one way of being — and the emergence of another.
The Lion’s Gate was not the destination
We have just moved through the 8/8 Lion’s Gate, and for many people the energies surrounding it have felt particularly intense.
There has been acceleration.
Revelation.
Emotional clearing.
Unexpected endings.
Heightened sensitivity.
And perhaps most noticeably, a growing inability to continue pretending that something fits when we know, deep down, that it doesn’t.
But I don’t see 8/8 as an isolated portal.
It feels much more like an opening into the larger eclipse corridor we are now entering — one that continues through to the lunar eclipse on 28 August.
Something is moving.
And the invitation may not be to hold onto what was.
It may be to allow ourselves to become who we are now ready to be.
Leo brings us back to the heart
Leo is associated with courage, creativity, sovereignty, visibility and authentic self-expression.
And that makes the symbolism of this eclipse particularly potent.
Because eclipses have long represented periods of revelation and change — moments when something previously obscured can suddenly become visible.
So perhaps the question isn’t simply:
What do I want to manifest?
Perhaps it is:
Who am I when I stop being who I was taught to be?
Who are you beneath the conditioning?
Beneath the expectations?
Beneath the identity you constructed because it made you acceptable, successful, safe or loved?
We spend so much of our lives accumulating identities.
Eventually, awakening asks us to begin removing them.
What if the stripping away is part of the initiation?
Many people appear to be experiencing a profound stripping away.
Relationships change.
Careers lose their meaning.
Places that once felt like home no longer do.
Old beliefs become impossible to maintain.
Sometimes even our spiritual identities begin to crack.
And our instinct is often to ask:
Why is this happening to me?
But there is another question available to us:
What is this making possible?
Perhaps not everything that leaves is being taken from us.
Perhaps some things have completed their purpose.
And perhaps the space they leave behind is necessary for something we cannot yet see.
Isis and Osiris: reunification after fragmentation
One of the fascinating symbolic threads around this eclipse is the conjunction of the asteroids Isis and Osiris.
The ancient Egyptian story of Isis and Osiris is fundamentally one of fragmentation, remembrance, restoration and rebirth.
And that feels remarkably appropriate for this moment.
For generations, humanity has lived through polarisation:
Masculine against feminine.
Science against spirituality.
Logic against intuition.
Humanity against nature.
One political identity against another.
One belief system against the next.
But perhaps evolution does not require one side to defeat the other.
Perhaps it requires integration.
The sacred masculine without domination.
The sacred feminine without disempowerment.
Action balanced by intuition.
Strength balanced by compassion.
Discernment balanced by an open heart.
Not separation.
Wholeness.
Soul blueprints and why we came here
This also brings me to something I speak about in the new video: our soul blueprint.
What if you did not arrive here accidentally?
What if the circumstances of your incarnation — your gifts, challenges, relationships, sensitivities and even some of the obstacles you have encountered — contain clues to what you came here to experience and contribute?
We often look at the difficult parts of our lives and wonder why we chose them.
But perhaps our greatest challenges sometimes contain the very initiations required for our deepest becoming.
This doesn’t mean we spiritually bypass suffering.
Nor does it mean blaming ourselves for everything that happens.
It means recognising the enormous difference between experiencing something difficult and building our permanent identity around what happened to us.
There comes a point on the awakening journey when sovereignty asks:
What will I choose now?
Awakening is not spiritual superiority
This feels especially important at this stage of humanity’s awakening.
Becoming conscious does not make us better than those who see the world differently.
Spirituality can become another identity.
Another tribe.
Another hierarchy.
Another way of dividing humanity into those who are supposedly awake and those who are not.
But consciousness without humility simply creates another form of separation.
Perhaps genuine awakening looks less like proclaiming how awake we are and more like becoming increasingly responsible for the consciousness we ourselves bring into the world.
Less blame.
Less projection.
Less victim consciousness.
More discernment.
More compassion.
More sovereignty.
More responsibility for what we create next.
A sky filled with symbolism
Against all of this, we have this remarkable celestial convergence unfolding above us — the eclipse, New Moon, planetary gathering and meteor activity.
Whether you experience these events purely astronomically, symbolically or energetically, there is something deeply humbling about looking upward during moments like these.
We are part of something unimaginably vast.
And perhaps that perspective is useful.
Because transformation can feel frightening when we are standing inside it.
From a wider perspective, however, what looks like an ending may simply be a transition between chapters.
The eclipse corridor: 12–28 August
I would therefore resist the urge to treat 12 August as a single day on which everything must happen.
We are entering an eclipse corridor.
Allow it to unfold.
Observe what becomes illuminated.
Pay attention to what repeatedly asks to be released.
Notice the relationships, environments and patterns in which you continually have to make yourself smaller.
Notice what suddenly feels alive.
And don’t rush to fill every empty space.
Sometimes the void is where the next version of our lives begins forming.
What are you ready to become?
As we cross this threshold, perhaps write down two questions:
What am I finally ready to release?
And:
Who am I ready to become?
Then allow the answers to come without forcing them.
Because perhaps the greatest manifestation available to us now isn’t another possession, achievement or external outcome.
Perhaps it is the liberation of the self beneath all the programming.
The self beneath the fear.
The self beneath the expectations.
The self who remembers why they came.
Whatever is being stripped away from you now may simply be creating room for something you could never have imagined from the consciousness you inhabited before.
This is a threshold.
Into greater sovereignty.
Into deeper remembrance.
Into a new chapter for humanity.
And ultimately, into becoming who you truly came here to be.

Sirius, Ancient Wisdom, Light Codes, Consciousness & the Deeper Meaning of the 8/8 Gateway
Every year, as we approach the 8th of August, millions of people around the world turn their attention toward what has become known as the Lion’s Gate Portal.
There is endless conversation about manifestation.
Abundance.
Downloads.
Activations.
Light codes.
New timelines.
But this year, I find myself asking a different question.
What if the Lion’s Gate isn’t primarily about what we can receive?
What if it is about what we are ready to embody?
Perhaps these powerful moments are not simply cosmic events happening to us.
Perhaps they are invitations.
Moments in which we pause long enough to examine where we have been, what we are carrying, and—most importantly—what we are choosing to carry forward.
Sirius: An Ancient Relationship With the Heavens
Long before the words Lion’s Gate Portal entered modern spiritual vocabulary, humanity was watching Sirius.
The brightest star in our night sky held particular importance in ancient Egypt. Its heliacal rising—the first visible appearance of the star before sunrise after a period of invisibility—became closely associated with the annual flooding of the Nile and the beginning of a new cycle.
It was connected with renewal, regeneration and the rhythms upon which life depended.
And Egypt was not alone in looking toward the heavens for meaning.
Across civilisations, human beings carefully observed the movement of stars, planets, Sun and Moon.
Our ancestors understood themselves as participants in a much larger cosmic rhythm.
Perhaps that is part of what modern humanity has forgotten.
We have become incredibly technologically sophisticated, yet many of us have become disconnected from the sky above us, the Earth beneath our feet—and sometimes even from the intelligence within our own bodies.
The Lion’s Gate offers an opportunity to remember that relationship.
Light, Plasma & Information
This is where the conversation becomes particularly fascinating.
Modern science tells us that our universe is extraordinarily dynamic.
Stars emit electromagnetic radiation. Solar activity interacts with Earth’s magnetosphere. Plasma—the electrically charged state of matter—is abundant throughout the visible universe.
And light itself can carry information.
These are scientific realities.
Then we arrive at the frontier where spirituality, ancient wisdom and emerging ideas about consciousness begin asking bigger questions.
Could information carried through light influence living systems in ways we don’t yet fully understand?
Could consciousness itself be more intimately connected with our environment than the strictly material worldview of previous centuries allowed?
Researchers continue to explore aspects of biological light emission, electromagnetic fields, brain-body coherence and the relationship between living systems and their environments.
Alongside this, metaphysical traditions use another language.
They speak about frequency, energetic information, activation and light codes.
We should be careful not to pretend that these spiritual concepts are established scientific facts.
But neither do I believe curiosity should end simply because science has not yet answered every question.
There is an enormous space between unquestioning belief and unquestioning dismissal.
That space is inquiry.
And humanity’s greatest discoveries have often begun there.
What Are “Light Codes”?
Within spiritual communities, the term light codes is often used to describe information or consciousness believed to be carried through light or energetic frequencies.
Some experience these periods as heightened intuition.
Others report vivid dreams, emotional release, unusual synchronicities, creative insights or simply a profound feeling that something internally is shifting.
Can we scientifically prove that these experiences are caused by a Lion’s Gate portal?
No.
But we can pay attention to our own experience.
And perhaps that is more important than trying to force everything into either belief or disbelief.
The question becomes:
What is this experience inviting me to see?
The Problem With Chasing Portals
There is something else I think we need to talk about.
Spirituality itself can become another form of consumption.
The next portal.
The next activation.
The next solar flare.
The next prediction.
The next download.
We can become so busy waiting for the next energetic event that we forget the entire purpose of awakening:
to awaken.
To become more conscious in our ordinary lives.
To become more discerning.
More compassionate.
More courageous.
More responsible for the energy we bring into the world.
Because receiving endless information means very little if that information never becomes embodiment.
From Receiving to Embodying
Perhaps one of the most powerful questions we can ask during the Lion’s Gate is not:
What do I want?
But:
Who am I becoming?
There is an enormous difference.
Manifestation can easily become focused on acquisition.
A new home.
More money.
A relationship.
Success.
Recognition.
None of these desires are inherently wrong.
But consciousness asks us to go deeper.
Instead of simply asking for abundance, perhaps we ask:
How can I become a greater source of abundance?
Instead of asking for love:
How can I embody more love?
Instead of asking for peace:
Where am I still feeding conflict within myself?
Instead of asking for a New Earth:
What am I actually doing to help create one?
This is where spirituality becomes real.
What Will You Anchor?
If we think of the Lion’s Gate as a threshold, then imagine consciously deciding what you will carry across it.
Perhaps you choose to anchor:
- Peace instead of reaction.
- Discernment instead of fear.
- Courage instead of contraction.
- Compassion instead of division.
- Presence instead of distraction.
- Sovereignty instead of giving your power away.
And perhaps most importantly:
- Love—not simply as an emotion, but as an intelligence from which we choose to live.
This doesn’t mean denying what is happening in our world.
Consciousness isn’t avoidance.
We can acknowledge suffering, uncertainty, injustice and upheaval without allowing fear to become the organising principle of our lives.
That may be one of the greatest acts of sovereignty available to us.
A Simple Lion’s Gate Practice
You don’t need an elaborate ceremony.
You don’t need expensive crystals.
You don’t need to be somewhere sacred.
You don’t need to experience anything dramatic.
Give yourself eight quiet minutes.
Turn off your phone.
Go outside if you can.
Place your feet on the Earth.
Breathe slowly.
Bring your awareness into your heart.
Then ask yourself:
What am I ready to leave behind?
What version of myself have I outgrown?
What truth am I ready to live more fully?
What quality do I choose to anchor into my life now?
And finally:
What kind of human being does the world I want to create require me to become?
Then stop asking.
Become quiet.
Listen.
Sometimes the most profound answers don’t arrive as words.
The Portal After the Portal
And perhaps this is the part we most often forget.
August 8 will pass.
The social media posts will disappear.
The next cosmic event will arrive.
Life will continue.
And that is where the real work begins.
Can you carry the insight into Monday morning?
Into your relationships?
Into the difficult conversation?
Into the choices you make when nobody is watching?
Into how you treat your body?
Into what you consume?
Into what you share?
Into how you respond when the world triggers you?
Because perhaps the measure of an activation isn’t what we experience during it.
It’s who we become afterwards.
The Greatest Portal Is Within
I remain fascinated by Sirius.
By ancient civilisations.
By consciousness.
By light.
By plasma.
By the mysteries of our DNA and the extraordinary intelligence of the human body.
And by the possibility that our ancestors understood dimensions of our relationship with the cosmos that we are only beginning to reconsider.
But perhaps all of these mysteries ultimately lead us back to the same place.
Ourselves.
Perhaps Sirius isn’t simply asking us to look upward.
Perhaps it reminds us to look inward.
To remember.
To listen.
To become conscious participants in our own evolution.
Because the greatest portal may not be the one opening somewhere in the heavens.
It may be the one opening within us when we choose to live with greater awareness, coherence, courage and love.
And perhaps that is the true invitation of the Lion’s Gate.
Not simply to receive more light.
But to become a place where that light can live.

The Aquarius Full Moon and the Threshold Into August
There are moments in history when it feels as though time itself begins to move differently.
Not because the clock changes…
But because we do.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve journeyed through one of the most extraordinary energetic sequences of the year. From the Day Out of Time and the Galactic New Year to heightened solar activity and the beginning of a new Red Galactic Moon cycle, July has felt less like another month on the calendar and more like the opening chapter of an entirely new story.
Now, the Aquarius Full Moon arrives as the first great mirror.
It asks a deceptively simple question:
Who are you becoming?
Not who you’ve been.
Not who the world expects you to be.
But who remains when the conditioning begins to fall away.
A Civilisation at a Crossroads
Aquarius has always been associated with the future.
It governs innovation, communities, science, technology and humanity’s capacity to imagine entirely new ways of living together.
It is therefore no coincidence that we find ourselves witnessing extraordinary conversations emerging across the world.
Artificial intelligence continues to reshape nearly every industry.
Conversations surrounding advanced technologies and unidentified aerial phenomena are becoming increasingly mainstream.
Long-held assumptions are being questioned.
Whether we are talking about technology, economics, governance or consciousness itself, something profound is shifting beneath the surface.
It feels as though humanity has reached one of those rare moments where the old map no longer explains the territory ahead.
And perhaps that is exactly the invitation.
Not to fear uncertainty…
But to become comfortable walking into the unknown with greater awareness.
Your Greatest Contribution May Be Your Authenticity
One of the themes I’ve been reflecting on throughout this Full Moon is authenticity.
Not as a self-help slogan…
But as a frequency.
For generations we’ve been conditioned to fit into systems that rewarded conformity.
Yet Aquarius whispers something entirely different.
It reminds us that the qualities we’ve spent our lives trying to hide may in fact be the very gifts we came here to offer.
Our uniqueness.
Our creativity.
Our intuition.
Our capacity to think differently.
Perhaps your greatest contribution to humanity is not becoming more like everyone else.
Perhaps it is becoming more fully yourself.
The Future Is Calling
For many of us, July has felt like standing at the edge of a vast new landscape.
The path ahead isn’t fully visible.
Yet something inside knows it is time to move.
Not because we have every answer.
But because our inner compass has become stronger than our fear.
I believe this Full Moon is less about endings than it is about alignment.
It is an invitation to bring our power home.
To stop outsourcing our authority.
To remember that the future is not something waiting for us somewhere “out there.”
It is something we begin creating with every choice we make today.
Looking Ahead…

This weekend marks one of the most important energetic thresholds of the year…
Every culture has recognised that transitions matter.
We celebrate birthdays, solstices, equinoxes and the turning of the calendar year because they invite us to pause, reflect and begin again with greater awareness.
This weekend offers another such threshold.
On 25 July 2026, we experience what is known as the Day Out of Time, followed by the Galactic New Year on 26 July 2026. At almost the same moment, Saturn stations retrograde, inviting us into a period of deeper reflection, responsibility and inner alignment.
Whether you approach these dates through astronomy, astrology, the Mayan traditions or simply as meaningful moments for contemplation, together they form a powerful invitation to reset our direction before the second half of the year gathers momentum.
The Day Out of Time
The Day Out of Time originates from the 13 Moon calendar, inspired by interpretations of the ancient Mayan’s understanding of natural cycles.
Rather than belonging to either the old year or the new, this day represents a symbolic pause between cycles.
Instead of rushing from one chapter into the next, we are encouraged to stop.
To acknowledge what has unfolded.
To integrate the lessons we’ve received.
To release what no longer belongs in our lives.
Modern life rarely creates space for reflection. We move from one deadline, one distraction and one obligation to another.
The Day Out of Time reminds us that wisdom is not only found through action.
It is also found in stillness.
The Galactic New Year
On 26 July 2026, many people celebrate what has become known as the Galactic New Year.
The date has become associated with the annual heliacal rising of Sirius—a moment when Sirius traditionally became visible again shortly before sunrise after a period hidden behind the Sun. In ancient Egypt this event coincided closely with the flooding of the Nile and marked the beginning of a new cycle of renewal, fertility and abundance.
Although the exact astronomical timing varies depending on location and has shifted over thousands of years due to Earth’s precession, the symbolism remains profound.
Sirius has long represented illumination, higher wisdom and renewal across numerous ancient traditions.
The Galactic New Year therefore serves less as a precise astronomical event and more as a conscious marker of beginning again.
It reminds us that life moves in cycles rather than straight lines.
Each year offers another opportunity to refine our character, deepen our wisdom and become more fully aligned with who we are here to be.
Saturn Begins Its Retrograde Journey
Adding another layer of significance, Saturn now begins its retrograde cycle.
Saturn is often called the great teacher.
Where Jupiter expands, Saturn asks us to build.
Where Neptune dreams, Saturn asks whether those dreams have structure.
During its retrograde, Saturn encourages us to review the foundations of our lives.
Where are we living with integrity?
What responsibilities have we been avoiding?
Which commitments still deserve our energy?
And equally important…
Which structures have simply become too small for who we are becoming?
This is not a punishment.
It is an invitation to mature.
To refine.
To simplify.
To build a life that is sustainable rather than performative.
A Collective Threshold
When we place these three themes together, a beautiful picture begins to emerge.
The Day Out of Time invites us to pause.
The Galactic New Year invites us to begin again with greater intention.
Saturn Retrograde asks us to ensure that the life we are building rests upon strong foundations.
Perhaps that is exactly where humanity finds itself today.
Many of the systems we’ve inherited no longer reflect the world that is emerging.
Old paradigms continue to dissolve while new possibilities slowly take shape.
The question is no longer simply what kind of world we want to create.
The deeper question is:
Who must we become in order to create it?
That is the real work of this weekend.

Last night many people around the world looked up and marvelled at an extraordinary celestial event – six planets appearing together in our evening sky.
While planetary alignments are not uncommon in themselves, this particular moment felt deeply symbolic when viewed alongside the remarkable astrology we’ve been exploring throughout July.
At the same time, we’ve just moved through one of this month’s most fascinating configurations: the rare Cradle (or Basket) formation in the heavens.
Unlike more confrontational astrological patterns, the Cradle speaks of support, integration and balance.
It reminds us that while enormous change is unfolding around us, we are also being held by something much greater.
The sky is not asking us to force the future into existence.
It is inviting us to grow into it.
For many months now we’ve spoken about humanity standing at the threshold of a profound civilizational transition. Old systems continue to dissolve while new possibilities quietly emerge. The external changes may capture the headlines, but perhaps the greatest transformation is happening within each one of us.
That is why I believe astrology isn’t simply about watching planets move across the sky.
It is about remembering that we are evolving alongside them.
Not becoming someone different…
…but becoming more fully ourselves.
The Inner Preparation
One insight continues to return to me again and again.
As exciting as discussions around disclosure, new technologies and global transformation may be, our nervous systems must be able to integrate the change.
Healing is not a distraction from awakening.
Healing is awakening.
Without inner coherence, even the most extraordinary truths can become overwhelming.
With coherence, they become opportunities for expansion.
Perhaps that is why so many people are being called toward simplicity.
Less noise.
Less urgency.
More stillness.
More presence.
More trust.
A Conversation for This Moment
Yesterday I had the joy of sharing a beautiful conversation with intuitive healer Tatiana Slezak.
Together we explored many of these very themes:
✨ Why healing unresolved trauma prepares us for what’s ahead.
✨ Why stillness may be one of the greatest medicines available to us today.
✨ How simplifying our lives creates space for new energy to emerge.

✨ And why compassion—for ourselves and one another—is perhaps the greatest superpower we can cultivate.
It felt less like an interview…
…and more like a reminder.
A reminder that the New Earth is not merely something we hope to witness one day.
It is something we begin embodying through the choices we make each day.

Alignment creates a moment for pause…
If you were fortunate enough to see the planets align last evening, I hope you took the moment to simply pause.
Breathe.
That you felt your feet upon the Earth.
Placed one hand on your heart and another just below your navel—your Dantian, the centre of your life force and intuition.
Allowed your mind to soften.
Allowed your heart to open.
And remembered…
The heavens may be aligning above us.
But perhaps the more important alignment is the one taking place within us.
