A three-day passage of completion and recalibration, while some interesting cracks are appearing in the structures around us.
Something feels finished.
I don’t necessarily mean finished in the dramatic sense. There hasn’t been one defining moment where the curtain came down and everyone knew the chapter was over.
It feels quieter than that.
I’ve been hearing from people who are tired in a way sleep doesn’t seem to touch. Old memories are resurfacing. People from years ago are appearing in dreams. Relationships are changing shape. Plans that felt terribly important a few months ago suddenly don’t seem to matter very much.
I’ve noticed some of this in my own life too.
There comes a point when you realise you’re putting energy into keeping something alive simply because it has been part of your life for a long time.
Maybe that’s part of what we’re moving through now.
The three days from September 9th through September 11th have caught my attention because the numerology, astrology and wider collective picture are telling an unusually coherent story.
I see it as a passage:
9/9 — completion.
9/10 — the space between.
9/11 — the new seed.
And then things begin moving rather quickly again.
9/9 — When the nine meets the one
In numerology, nine has traditionally been associated with completion: the final number before we begin again.
2026, meanwhile, is a Universal Year 1.
2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10 → 1.
And there is something rather beautiful about the full date of 9 September 2026:
9 + 9 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 28 → 10 → 1.
So within a day saturated with the symbolism of nine, we arrive back at one.
Completion containing the seed of beginning.
That’s why this 9/9 portal didn’t feel to me like a day for making endless lists of things we want the Universe to deliver.
It felt more like clearing the table.
What has actually run its course?
What are we still doing because we’ve always done it?
Which identities were necessary for a previous chapter but have become uncomfortable now?
And perhaps the hardest one: what if something falling away isn’t a problem that needs fixing?
Some chapters really do end.
September 10th — we’re in the hallway
Today, as I write this, we’re in the middle of the passage.
The astrology is busy.
Venus enters Scorpio. Mercury moves into Libra. Venus opposes Chiron. And Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini.
I don’t think we need to turn every planetary movement into a prophecy.
What interests me is the symbolism.
Something changes direction.
Conversations shift.
Questions around value and relationships deepen.
Old wounds may be touched.
And Uranus — associated astrologically with disruption, liberation, sudden change and awakening — appears to stop before beginning its retrograde journey.
All of this happens after 9/9 but before the New Moon.
We’re in the hallway.
The door behind us has closed and the next one hasn’t quite opened.
There can be enormous pressure in periods like this to do something. To make a decision simply because uncertainty is uncomfortable.
Maybe today doesn’t require that.
Sometimes the space between two chapters is useful precisely because we can’t rush through it.
Then, just before dawn…
Here in South Africa, the New Moon arrives at 5:27am on September 11th. Astronomically, the exact New Moon occurs at 03:27 UTC.
A Virgo New Moon.
I find Virgo rather perfect for where we are.
We’ve spent years talking about awakening, ascension, disclosure, timelines and the New Earth. These are enormous ideas.
Virgo asks a much less glamorous question:
How are you actually living?
What happens when you wake up?
Where does your attention go?
What are you doing with your body?
How are you spending your money?
What are you tolerating?
What are you building?
How are you serving?
What are you doing with Tuesday morning?
At some point consciousness has to become tangible.
The New Earth cannot remain a concept indefinitely. It has to find its way into our homes, communities, food, work, relationships, economies and the way we treat one another.
Perhaps this New Moon is asking us to make the frequency practical.
And, of course, it’s 9/11
There is no getting around the weight of the date.
September 11th, 2026 marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11th, 2001.
Whatever one’s interpretation of everything surrounding that day, historically its consequences are undeniable. It changed geopolitics, warfare, aviation, surveillance, security and the relationship between governments and citizens.
There was a world before 9/11.
The world afterwards was different.
Twenty-five years is a meaningful interval from which to look back and ask what that era gave us, what it cost us, and whether some of its assumptions have finally reached their expiry date.
I’m not suggesting that because tomorrow is September 11th, some enormous event must happen.
I’m more interested in the cycle itself.
What are we collectively ready to stop carrying?
Because there is another story unfolding alongside all of this.
And it’s happening in money.
I’m watching the financial system closely
There is so much noise around the idea of a “financial reset” that it has become difficult to separate genuine developments from people attaching enormous conclusions to every market movement.
So let’s leave predictions aside for a moment.
The actual signals are interesting enough.
This week, long-term U.S. Treasury yields climbed to their highest levels in almost three years, with the benchmark 10-year yield approaching 5%. The U.S. Treasury expanded a buyback of long-dated government debt to $6 billion, but the move disappointed investors who had expected something larger, and yields continued higher.
That matters because the Treasury market isn’t some obscure corner of finance. U.S. government bonds sit close to the foundation of the global financial system. When yields move sharply, borrowing costs ripple through mortgages, businesses, governments and asset markets.
At the same time, gold has been trading above $4,400 an ounce. Oil moved above $100 amid escalating Middle East tensions, adding another layer of inflation uncertainty.
Currencies are moving too. The dollar has recently been trading near a seven-month low against the yen amid oil shocks, changing rate expectations and unusual intervention in currency markets.
None of these things, individually, proves that a global financial reset is imminent.
I think we need to be disciplined about saying that.
But taken together they tell us that some very large forces are moving beneath the surface: sovereign debt, borrowing costs, currencies, energy prices, inflation and confidence.
The financial system is not static.
And neither is the infrastructure underneath it. Payment systems are becoming faster and more digital; tokenisation, digital assets and new settlement technologies are moving steadily from the fringes toward mainstream financial institutions.
So when people sense that money itself is changing, I don’t think they’re necessarily imagining it.
Where I part company with some of the online narratives is the certainty about exactly how or when the transformation happens.
Systems this large rarely change according to a meme.
They change in pieces. Quietly at first. Then seemingly all at once.
The portal isn’t the destination
This may be the most important part.
I don’t see September 11th as the grand finale.
The three-day passage feels more like the turning of a key.
Chiron is heading back toward Aries around September 17th, bringing the astrological conversation back toward identity, courage and the right to exist as oneself.
Then comes the Equinox around September 22nd.
And on September 26th we reach the Aries Full Moon; astronomically, the Full Moon peaks at 16:49 UTC, or 6:49pm here in Cape Town.
So September keeps moving.
There is a sense of increasing momentum after this little gap we’re sitting inside now.
Which makes me wonder whether the 9/9–9/11 portal isn’t really about what happens during these three days.
Maybe it’s about what we’re willing to put down before the next part begins.
I keep coming back to sovereignty
Not sovereignty as another spiritual buzzword.
Something much more ordinary.
Where does your authority live?
Who decides what you believe?
Who decides what you fear?
What gets access to your attention?
What gets access to your money?
What gets access to your body?
And how much of your life is still being organised around structures you’ve already realised you don’t trust?
These questions matter whether the financial system changes dramatically next month or evolves over another decade.
They matter whether disclosure comes through governments, whistleblowers, science, personal experience or not at all.
They matter whether you believe in portals or simply recognise that human beings sometimes need a marker in time to say:
Enough. That chapter is over.
Perhaps that’s what these three days offer.
9/9 gave us the ending.
September 10th gives us the uncomfortable empty space.
tomorrow’s New Moon gives us a seed.
We don’t need to know exactly what the world on the other side looks like.
But we can decide what we’re no longer taking with us.
And for now, that may be enough.
