Reflections on Pluto direct, intuitive awakening, and bringing awareness into everyday life.

There are moments when a date becomes a gathering point for questions many of us are already carrying.

What is changing? What are we ready to leave behind? And how do we move forward with greater trust in ourselves?

The 15–16 October window has become one of those moments. In my recent video, I explore its astrological significance alongside Nancy Rebecca’s intuitive messages about awakening and an energy surge she describes for 16 October.

I find these conversations interesting because they invite us to reflect on our own lives. A date can offer a focus for that reflection, while the choices we make carry it forward.

Why 15 October in the US—and 16 October elsewhere?

For those of you following from the United States, Pluto stations direct in Aquarius on Thursday 15 October at 10:40 p.m. Eastern / 7:40 p.m. Pacific.

Here in South Africa, that is Friday 16 October at 4:40 a.m.

This is the same planetary event, appearing on different calendar dates because of our time zones. So when you hear me referring to 16 October, and your astrology calendar says the 15th, both refer to the same moment.

The wider conversation spans these two days, although the different planetary aspects have their own exact timings.

Pluto direct: a reflection on power and transformation

In astrology, Pluto is associated with deep transformation, power, and the patterns we may prefer to keep beneath the surface.

Its direct station offers a symbolic point at which to consider what has emerged during a period of reflection. What have we come to understand about ourselves? Where are we ready to act on that understanding?

With Pluto in Aquarius, the collective themes are particularly interesting: community, technology, shared systems, and the relationship between individual freedom and collective responsibility. If one looks around at the world, it’s clear to see that people are ready to take their power back.

For me, this brings up questions about sovereignty.

How much of our attention do we give away? Whose voices shape our decisions? Can we belong to a community while retaining our ability to question, discern and choose?

These are useful questions whether we are looking at world events, exploring spiritual teachings, or considering our relationship with technology.

We can begin close to home. A boundary we have avoided setting. A habit that drains us. A conversation that needs honesty. A project we are ready to give our attention to.

Courage needs somewhere to go

Mars in Leo forms a trine with Saturn in Aries on 16 October.

Within an astrological reading, this brings together Mars’s drive and courage with Saturn’s themes of commitment, patience and structure.

I see a practical invitation here: give your inspiration somewhere to go.

Perhaps you have had an insight, felt a new direction opening, or recognised a pattern you want to change. What would help you follow through?

It might be a regular practice, a realistic plan, or one small action you can repeat. There is something powerful about showing up for what matters, even when the first excitement has passed.

With Venus still retrograde, we also have an opportunity to reflect on our values, relationships and sense of worth. What deserves our time? What feels nourishing? Where have we continued saying yes out of habit?

These themes can help us bring greater intention to the next chapter.

Intuitive awakening: staying open and discerning

Nancy Rebecca describes a blue-light energy surge and an “operating system upgrade” connected with humanity’s intuitive development.

In my video, I explore what those messages might invite us to consider.

How do we relate to our intuition? Do we make space to listen? Can we remain open to an experience while giving ourselves time to understand it?

A vivid dream, a strong feeling or a moment of sudden clarity can be meaningful to us without requiring an immediate conclusion about its source.

I value curiosity alongside discernment. We can notice an experience, reflect on it, and allow its meaning to unfold. We can also ask whether an interpretation helps us live with more steadiness, compassion and responsibility.

If you feel quiet during this window, there is no need to manufacture an experience. Ordinary moments of presence can be deeply valuable.

Bringing awareness into the body

This is where my own QiGong and TaiQi practices feel especially relevant.

Working with breath, movement and attention gives me a way to slow down and notice what I am experiencing. It brings my awareness back to my energy, my hands, my posture, my surroundings, and the simple act of being here. They don’t call TaiQi the “Great Qi” for nothing.

Whatever language we use for spiritual growth, we still live through our bodies and our daily relationships.

We need room to rest, to feel, to laugh, and to enjoy the beauty around us. Sometimes the most useful response to an intense conversation is a walk, a quiet meal, or time away from a screen.

You might take a few minutes over these two days to ask:

● What am I noticing in myself?

● What needs my care or attention?

● What am I ready to release?

● What is one thing I can begin building?

Let the answers be simple. You do not need to solve your whole life in one sitting.

My conversation with Dr. Jorg Prinz (PhD)

Image of Dr.Jörg Prinz and Anina - YouTube ThumbnailAlongside this energy update, I’m sharing my interview with Dr. Jorg Prinz, founder of the Energy Health Clinic in New Zealand, released on 15 October.

Jorg discusses his transition from conventional Western medicine into naturopathy and energy medicine, and his interest in looking beyond symptom management.

We explore the approaches he describes using in his practice, including scalar-field technologies, bioelectromodulation and energy psychology. He also explains his perspective on the Aha Halo frequency healing device, its programs, and how it differs from the Spooky2.

What stayed with me was the discussion about participating actively in our own healing. Paying attention to our emotions, noticing our habits, and making room for mindfulness are themes many of us can reflect on.

Meeting this moment

My hope for this window is that it gives us a reason to pause and reconnect with what matters.

There is room for wonder, for questions, and for practical action. We can listen inwardly while remaining engaged with the people and responsibilities around us.

Whatever you experience over 15–16 October, I invite you to give yourself some breathing space. Notice what feels ready to change. Choose one step you can take with care.

Thank you for being part of this community and for sharing these conversations with me.

With so much love,
